My Review

Menagerie was so good, I can't wait for the second book to come out.  Sigh!

This book is different than any of Rachel Vincent books which I know through the series of Soul Screamers.

Menagerie is about a traveling carnival with the freak shows and rides and of course all the carnival food.  Menagerie's main focus is on the freak show people or whatever you want to call them.  The difference is we get to see behind the scenes of the freaks.  We get to learn about them we find out just because they are freaks they have personality to them.  More human than freak.

Delilah Marlow is no different as she is visiting the freak show something happens to her that turns her from human to a freak.  She is taken into custody by the local police.  Than the owner of the Menagerie shows up and she is purchased by him to become part of the freak show.  What everyone does not understand is she is more human than a freak.  Gallagher, who is Delilah handler befriends her and the vow to change the Menagerie.  With a stoke of luck they do what they plan then the book ends leaving us hanging on a Cliff.

This really is a good book and I recommend picking it up and reading it.
